A major federal public sector organization is making SharePoint Online the central platform for its information management and collaboration, within a large, regulated Microsoft 365 environment. The mandate is to design and sustain the solutions built on it: site and hub architecture, metadata and permission models, Power Platform automations, and advice to the tenant administration, with several senior consultants working in parallel on distinct needs.
What defines the mandate
- A solution developer and architect role, between business leads, technical teams and the Microsoft 365 tenant administration.
- Mostly remote work, with occasional presence in the National Capital Region, full time during regular business hours.
- Roughly eleven months, starting late October 2026.
The scope
- SharePoint Online architecture: site hierarchies, hub associations, navigation, content types, taxonomy, metadata schemas and permission structures, built to last and to be maintained.
- End-to-end development, mainly with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), TypeScript, React, Node.js, PowerShell and the Microsoft Graph and PnP APIs, through testing and documentation.
- Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI solutions that automate processes and deliver dashboards to decision makers.
- Governance: naming conventions, provisioning models, lifecycle, alignment with information management and security frameworks, Azure AD access control on least-privilege principles.
- Content migration from legacy repositories, in line with retention schedules.
- Mentoring non-developers through code reviews and pair programming, and knowledge transfer.
