Senior Business Intelligence Application Support Specialist (Power BI)

A data team within a federal public sector organization is looking for a senior consultant to maintain and grow its business intelligence platform. The work is remote within Canada, over roughly eleven months, with occasional travel to client sites.

What decides

• Remote from a residence in Canada. Classified work happens at client facilities: occasional travel.
• Advanced English in speaking, comprehension and writing. This mandate is not bilingual.

What is required

• A valid, active Microsoft PL-300 or PL-200 certification, plus four years of relevant technical expertise within the last five years. A recognized Canadian bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or software engineering, with the same four years, replaces the certification.
• Twelve months, within the last two years, of application support or visual data modeling work on enterprise data dashboards and applications already in production. Dated mandates are what counts.
• Two verifiable references.

The work

Maintaining and optimizing interactive business intelligence applications, paginated reports and secure workspaces deployed across the organization. Configuring, testing and automating data gateways and their refreshes. Working with technical teams and leadership to keep critical business applications available and data visible.

An interview with the client is part of the process.
